Further to the announcement of 30 April 2025, the Company has completed its due diligence on the acquisition of the Boteti Project and is proceeding with formal acquisition documentation and incorporation of a new special purchase vehicle ("SPV") in
The Company is pleased to now confirm that in accordance with its obligations to fund 100% of the exploration, feasibility studies and mine development work necessary to advance the Boteti Project through to production, it has advanced the first payments through to Geowise, to enable activities to now commence.
Geowise's exploration and technical team and consultants have mobilised to conduct site and community liaison and stakeholder consultation ahead of this quarters planned exploration drilling activities. Geologists will, as part of this work, carry out preliminary field observations to confirm lithology, complete brine sampling of existing boreholes, map structural features, and identify environmental conditions relevant to the upcoming exploration drill planning and program.
This phase of work is considered a critical step to ensure awareness, understanding, and consent from local communities prior to the commencement of the major field activities planned.
The community engagement work will introduce the planned exploration of the Boteti Project to local leaders, community members, and relevant authorities. It will ensure transparent communication regarding land access over the duration of the planned activities, and ensure all environmental considerations are incorporated. Furthermore it will provide the platform for community matters to be addressed and importantly ensure all parties are aware of any culturally sensitive areas that are to be respected during the planned exploration activities.
During this visit, Geowise's exploration and technical team and consultants will complete initial baseline geological and environmental observations including:
· confirming surface lithology and note key outcrops;
· identifying and mapping visible structural features including faults, folds, fractures and bedding planes;
· recording soil types, composition, and variability relevant for future sampling;
· observing vegetation cover and land use, noting areas of ecological sensitivity; and
· assessing geomorphological features such as drainage patterns, erosion, and slopes that that may affect accessibility or future sampling strategies.
Upon completion of this work, Geowise and the Company will look to commence the next phase of exploration drilling at selected targets across the three granted prospecting licences. This work will include percussion or reverse circulation drilling, splitting and weighing, test pumping of the brines, on-site acquisition of key field parameters including pH, Eh, Ec, DO and alkalinity of the brines, geological logging of drill chips, pXRF and drill and brine sampling.
